Knowing that our cars will come to a complete stop at a moments notice is something that for the most part, we as drivers take for granted. Keep Rolling, and Roll Further than Before.

Tires are an amalgam of different materials that are bonded, rotated, weaved, and molded together. Metal plies come together at 90 degree angles to form a strong yet compliant radial tire, while rubber is melded, carved and finished to produce a resilient, firm hold on (or off) pavement. The modern tire is complex, highly durable, and safe for many applications.
Tires are not simply doughnuts of rubber, and many modern vehicles have tires designed for specific models. Our service center can assist you in finding the tire that is right for your vehicle.

What Are Differences between Conventional, Semi-Synthetics and Full Synthetic Oils?

In the auto industry, there is still a disagreement on how to properly name the "synthetic" oils. You don't really hear the term "semi-conventional," but you do hear "semi-synthetic." Now, what is this "full synthetic" oil?

The best way of describing the difference between these terms, might be to compare it to the word "Coke." In the South, Coke means all soda pop. In the auto industry, the "synthetic" term refers to all "synthetic" oils. But, in reality, it might be more accurate to divide the motor oils into "semi-synthetic" and "fully synthetic."

Is Your Volvo Ready for Winter?

Like it or not, winter is here in Peoria. While we prepare ourselves with new hats, gloves, and jackets, it's also important for you to make sure your Volvo is ready. We want to offer a few maintenance tips to winterize your vehicle.

  • Oil change: The extreme cold can cause problems with your engine if it's not healthy. Be sure to stick with your routine oil and filter change schedule to keep your engine clean.
  • Wiper blades: Ice and snow on your windshield obstructs visibility, so install heavier winter blades to clear the way. Be sure to keep…

Why Volvo Agreed to Emissions Standards Set by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature

All across the auto industry, companies are scrambling to lower their emissions and prove that they are "green." In America, much of this is spurred on by ever-tightening regulations set by the EPA on how fuel efficient a car must be.

For Volvo, however, the EPA's rules just aren't strict enough.

Instead, the Swedish automaker is joining forces with the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF), taking part in the…

Final Nail in the Coffin for the Volvo C30

Volvo revealed two compact concepts back in May -- the first look at an all-new Volvo 40 Series based on Compact Modular Architecture.

CMA is specifically crafted to allow Volvo designers and engineers freedom to get creative and dream big when creating new small cars, like the small crossover SUV and compact sedan concepts shown at the unveiling. This has led many brand enthusiasts to wonder whether Volvo plans to go smaller than the 40...
